Compton Named Director of Marketing & Development
MERIDIAN, MS — Meridian native Caroline Compton has joined the State Games of Mississippi as the new Director of Marketing & Development.
The State Games of Mississippi is the state’s largest amateur sportsfest organization, annually holding more than 40 competitions across the state. When thousands of athletes pour into the East Mississippi area for competition and the annual Opening Ceremony, the total estimated economic impact is $12.2 million.
“We welcome Caroline to the team with her excellent marketing skills,” said Executive Director of the Games, Missye Dozier. “Caroline is a hardworking and detail-oriented professional who will make sure our athletes, volunteers and sponsors are up-to-date on State Games activities.”
A marketing graduate of the University of Mississippi, Compton was recently the marketing manager for Pampered Bodies Day Spa. She is very active in community events, including being on the Meridian Partner’s Executive Board for the Mississippi Children’s Museum (2020-22), chair of the Junior Auxiliary Charity Ball (2020) and is currently an East Mississippi Business Development Corp. Ambassador. She has also taught Sunday School at her church, St. Paul’s Episcopal.
