Bratu Named Director of Marketing & Development
MERIDIAN, MS — Meridian native Amanda Bratu has joined the State Games of Mississippi as the new Director of Marketing & Development.
The State Games of Mississippi is the state’s largest amateur sportsfest organization, annually holding more than 40 competitions across the state. When thousands of athletes pour into the East Mississippi area for competition and the annual Opening Ceremony, the total estimated economic impact is $12.2 million.
“We welcome Amanda to the team with her excellent organizational skills,” said Executive Director of the Games, Missye Dozier said. “Amanda is a hardworking and detail-oriented professional who will make sure our athletes, volunteers and sponsors are up-to-date on State Games activities.”
An elementary education graduate of Mississippi State University, Amanda’s most recent position before joining State Games was in Meridian Community College’s Foundation office. She and husband Eric have been married 30 years and have two children and two grandchildren.
